They can both be used to create various looks, from curl to straight.
The only major difference is that the GlamPalm has adjustable temperature.

Special ceramic plates independently developed by GlamPalm enables smooth sliding preventing hair to be pulled out. I can vouch for this as this is the MAIN reason I bought the iron. In the 10 years I have done hairdressing, I've never used an iron which literally glided over my hair in which I could barely even feel it on my hair. It's a luxury hair tool that is well worth it's price! With the GHD, it is good but I can definitely feel it tugging on my hair (comfortably) and when using the GHD, I definitely feel like without heat protectant, my hair is definitely being damaged with each use while with the GlamPalm, you can trust that your hair will still be healthier than ever with each use!
